Pitches
There are two full-sized pitches available to be used by our club members for training and matches. Both pitches include behind goal nets, with the main pitch boasting a covered seating stand, floodlights and dugouts. We recently added new dugouts to the second pitch. The pitches are often in demand and are commonly used every year for hosting community games, club GAA games and secondary school games. The local National School also uses the pitches weekly to promote physical education.

Astroturf pitch
In 2011 the club added an all-weather astroturf pitch. It includes floodlights and offers an excellent option for team training during the winter months. The astroturf is available for rent and is regularly in use by other clubs. For booking visit our contact page.
Walking/Running Track
The walking / running track encircles the two pitches on the grounds. It is fully flood-lit and offers a safe option for all members to exercise during the dark winter months. The track is used 365 days a year by all parish members and other local groups within the community, including the Brothers of Charity and South Galway Athletics club. There are other athletic features, such as a long jump on the grounds.
Playground
Ballinderreen GAA club cares about all aspects of play, not just sport, for our community’s young people. This is why we have provided a playground to encourage that play from an early age. There are swings, a slide, a sand play area and lots more to be enjoyed.
Club Community Room
The community club room has been a popular addition to the club, where people can host meetings, entertain and even enjoy pottery classes. Visit our contact page to view the calendar and book your time.
Ball Walls, basketball & tennis court
The astroturf pitch boundary includes ball walls to improve reaction times and ball control. These are also accessible externally on two sides, from the pitch and basketball court, with the walls themselves also featuring targets for aiming. An outdoor basketball and tennis court is located between the astroturf pitch and the playground. It’s another great option of physical exercise available to our members.
